WHEN will all children get access to healthcare?
WHEN will high-quality education be available for every child?
WHEN will the poorest people living on the streets and in the slums of Kolkata, India get a fair chance at health and learning?
WHEN can YOU help make this a reality? Now.
World Health and Education Network (WHEN) is a 501c3 tax-exempt non-profit organization based in NJ dedicated to improving access to quality health care and education for underserved populations. Our Board of Directors draws from the fields of medicine, law, public health, and business, and oversees the distribution of WHEN funding which comes from private donations. We are the official US-support group of the charity Calcutta Rescue (CR) which has been providing healthcare and education to the most disadvantaged people living in Kolkata, India for over 30 years. We also support disaster relief efforts by the Mumbai-based charity Doctors For You (DFY) – including after flooding in Uttarkhand in 2013 and flooding in Kashmir in 2014. We also hold grant competitions for innovative projects attempting to improve the quality of the Indian healthcare system.
